Dr. Henriett Butz
I work as a medical doctor specialising in laboratory medicine, molecular genetics and clinical genetics at Semmelweis University and the National Institute of Oncology. I have also been involved in research since 2006, when I started my PhD studies. During my postdoctoral training in an international research group I was involved in the joint operation of clinical and molecular genetic studies of tumor treatment response and resistance. During the last 10 years, as a senior research fellow of the Hereditary Tumors Research Group, my main research interest is the molecular genetic background of the tumorigenesis of endocrine-related tumors and the genetic background of hereditary cancer syndromes.
