Dr. Aysel Ahadova

During the last six years of my research, I have been focusing on unraveling molecular pathogenesis pathways leading to colorectal cancer development in Lynch syndrome carriers. One particular topic of my research is precursor lesions in Lynch syndrome-associated colorectal cancer. I work on deciphering mutational events responsible for the early stages of malignant transformation and influencing tumor immunoediting in order to gain insights into the process of cancer initiation and to be able to design novel preventive approaches for Lynch syndrome carriers.
