I work as a consultant colorectal surgeon at my home institution, Helsinki University Hospital, and as adjunct professor and principal investigator at University of Helsinki Medical Faculty. I have my research focus on nearly all aspects of Lynch Syndrome, especially CRC. I have been closely involved with initiating the Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database, to which we have contributed since the beginning of the project. I am currently at the scientific steering board and the core writing team of the PLSD, and the secretary at the board of directors for European Hereditary Tumor Group. Recently, other scientific interests involve precision surgical oncology, especially in the fields of circulating tumor DNA, solid cancer organoids & other cancer biomarkers.
