During my training as a physician scientist I studied various cancer predisposition syndromes and performed collateral translational in vitro studies regarding adrenal, pancreatic and parathyroid tumorigenesis. In my years as a postdoctoral researcher I had the possibility to be involved in multidisciplinary international projects aiming to better understand molecular cancer evolution in response to treatments.
As a clinical geneticist I became intrigued on how fundamental the optimal immune surveillance is in preventing cancers in individuals living with Lynch syndrome. Within the INDICATE-Lynch collaboration we hope to unravel key genotype-phenotype associations which might contribute to personalized cancer prevention strategies.
